FIRSTBUY GETS FIRST TIME BUYERS ON THE LADDER IN WESTON COYNEY.

Compendium has announced that it has a number of homes available on its Weston Heights development which qualify for Firstbuy, the Government-backed scheme designed to help people on to the property ladder. Under the scheme, the Government and Compendium contribute a loan of up to 20% of the house price, so buyers could only have to find a mortgage for 80% of the price and, crucially, a significantly smaller deposit.

"We're delighted to be able to bring Firstbuy to our Weston Heights development in Weston Coyney," says Lorraine Kendrick, regional sales manager for Compendium. "Mortgages and large deposits are so hard to find for first-time buyers at the moment but this scheme can make a huge difference. The deposit first-time buyers will be asked to find will be only a fraction of what banks and building societies would usually demand. For example, Compendium has a Carleton two bed semi-detached home available for £119,950. If Firstbuy contributes £23,990, the buyer has to find a mortgage for just £95,960. The 5% deposit would therefore be only £4,798.

Firstbuy is available on several of Compendium's two bed homes as well as several three bed semi-detached homes, which start at £139,950 (just £111,960 under Firstbuy).

Despite paying from only 80% of the cost up front, buyers will still own 100% of their new home.

NEW SCHEME FROM COMPENDIUM MAKES FIRST-TIME BUYERS’ DREAMS COME TRUE

Compendium, which has an impressive development of houses in Weston Coyney, has launched a brand new initiative designed to help buyers who do not have enough deposit saved to get the best mortgage details. ‘Match and Move' is a 10-year interest free loan that makes mortgages more affordable
